Gail Plaster/Gail’s Nature Photography
Wildlife photography started as a hobby for Gail Plaster in 1985. She takes many of her photos in her beautiful, unspoiled backyard, which sits on a lake in Iron River, Wisconsin. She has planted certain types of plants, such as milkweed, to attract butterflies and other wildlife. She estimates about 30% of her shots come from her backyard. The majority of the time, she waits patiently, for as long as five hours, in the forest or field for that perfect shot. She also does commissioned photographs, and her photos appear in art galleries across the U.S.
