Nina Walz/Off The Walz Studio

Nina Walz resides in Bend, Oregon where she produces handmade, utilitarian ceramic sculptures at Off the Walz Studio. Nina studied professional illustration at the Art Institute of Chicago and pursued a career in commercial art in Negril, Jamaica, where she spent five years working in a variety of media. Nina opened Off the Walz Studio in Bend in 1995 where she was inspired by the majestic beauty of Central Oregon and the Cascade Mountain Range.

All of Nina’s individually handcrafted works are inspired by her interaction with nature, people and surroundings. The pottery is created for visual artistic enjoyment with functionality in mind. These unique and beautiful functional sculptures compliment any environment and are genuinely memorable pieces. Nina’s themes are simultaneously eternal and graceful, intimate and familiar. They stand as timeless and significant art pieces that will be remembered and passed down for generations

“All art products are individually hand crafted and painted with great care in my studio. I hope you will have many years of enjoyment from them, as I have had much joy in creating each piece. Each gourmet salad set is serial numbered and documented in the studio for collectablility. All of the utilitarian wares can be put in the dishwasher. Oven safe at any temperature – preheating wares in oven is best to avoid thermal shock. Platinum and gold accented wares are not recommended for oven or dishwasher use to ensure the integrity on the precious metals.
