Timmy Woods/Timmy Woods Beverly Hills

Born and raised in Beverly Hills, California, traveling the world extensively as a teen, Timmy holds a degree in sociology and art from UCLA and also attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she won the prestigious Rudi Gemrich design award. Timmy's designs have recently been published in Wearable Art Accessories and Jewelry 1900-2000 published by Schiffer Publishing LTD. A former model and performer, Timmy was also trained in classical ballet and danced with The New York City Ballet where she performed in various shows including "The Nutcracker Suite".

After a serious injury in a car accident, Timmy's father, a real estate developer, suggested she join his lucrative business and include her design skills into real estate marketing. She was instantly successful utilizing her contacts, knowledge of the Pacific Rim and design expertise becoming an international realtor while continuing to expand her knowledge taking advanced studies at the University of Singapore. Although her new career proved lucrative it didn't hold the same appeal as the design world. In 1992, inspired by primitive carved wooden boxes she found at a market in the Philippines, Timmy launched Timmy Woods Beverly Hills in 1992.

Timmy Woods Beverly Hills is focused on creating innovative designs that appeal to women with a broad range of interests and lifestyles. Inspired by handmade wooden boxes, Timmy sees these handcrafted wooden handbags as a fresh statement in fashion and as sculptured pieces of art. On the cutting edge of art and fashion, each bag is carved from fallen Acacia trees and is hand-made taking 30 days to complete. Forms of nature, pop trends, sports, hobbies, holidays and special events inspire the designs. Each unique design comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and originality.

Timmy's bags are carried and collected by celebrities like Liz Taylor, Diana Ross, Barbie Benton, Jody Fisher, Melanie Griffith and Hillary Clinton to name a few.

Timmy resides in Beverly Hills, California. Her inspiration continues to be a genuine love of art and fashion, the joy she derives from global interchanges with people, desire to make others look and feel good and her belief in integrity and honesty.
